Akane Mitani, born April 15, 1997, in Kanagawa Prefecture, is a retired pornographic actress and AV Idol Japanese active from 2017 to 2025. Formerly known as Akari Mitani, she changed her stage name in late 2023 after joining the LiStar agency. Her retirement was officially announced for July 2025, marking the end of a prolific and versatile career. In August 2020 she was ranked ninth in terms of popularity for the first six months by Fanza's monthly magazine. In December of the same year, she was chosen as the 25th sexiest actress of all time by the readers of FLASH magazine.
Outside of film, she formed the duo "Gishitani" with fellow actress Yamagishi Aika, launching a YouTube channel, writing a weekly column, and appearing on mainstream television. Her media presence extended well beyond the adult industry.
