'Tradwife' which is short for traditional wife, is a concept that has been recently trending amongst American women on social media. It celebrates a return to conservative family values & rigid gender roles, that encourages female submission and domesticity. Critics warn that beneath the glamour of social media lies an ideology that undermines women's independence and threatens hard-won rights.
